Data controller
SCP YOUNOUSSOU-NEBIE LAWYERS (SCP YNL), Plateau, Avenue ISSA BERI, Rue IB 42, BP 832, Niamey, Niger. For any question about your data: admin@scpynl.org.
Personal data processing is governed by Niger’s Law No. 2022-59 of 16 December 2022 on the protection of personal data, as amended by Law No. 2023-31 of 4 July 2023 and by Ordinances No. 2024-16 of 26 April 2024 and No. 2024-29 of 24 June 2024.
Data collected and purpose
This site has no user accounts, no advertising and no visitor statistics.
Only the appointment request form on the Contact page collects data: name, phone, email, practice area, type of appointment, preferred day and time slot, subject of the request. This data is used only to answer your request and organise the appointment.
Phone and email are each optional, but one of them is required so that the firm can reply.
Please do not include confidential information in this form. Professional secrecy applies to our exchanges once a file is opened; the form only helps us direct your request.
Basis for processing
Your appointment request, which you send voluntarily. [TO COMPLETE: confirm the wording of the legal basis with the partners.]
Recipients and service providers
Your request is sent by email to the lawyers and staff authorised to handle it. To deliver it, the firm uses:
- Resend, an email-sending service;
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and the function that receives the form, and provides the anti-bot check (Turnstile) shown on the form;
- Google, only if you display the map (see “Cookies and trackers”).
These providers may process data outside Niger. [TO COMPLETE: exact hosting countries, after checking with each provider and the HAPDP.]
Retention period
Requests are kept in the firm’s mailbox [TO COMPLETE: duration, for example 12 months without follow-up], then deleted. If a file is opened, the data is kept under the rules that apply to client files. The sending provider may keep technical logs for a limited time.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, or object to its processing, by writing to admin@scpynl.org. The firm replies within a reasonable time. If you believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with Niger’s Haute Autorité de Protection des Données à caractère Personnel (HAPDP).
Cookies and trackers
This site sets no cookies and uses no trackers or audience-measurement tools.
The Contact page offers a Google Maps map. It loads only when you click “Show the map”. At that point, Google may receive your IP address and set cookies under its own rules. Until you click, no data is sent to Google. You can also open the address in Google Maps from the link on the page.
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Requests are sent to the firm without being stored on the site.
